Tambav
Logo, Packaging
Tambav is an Indian based company selling hand-curated artisanal copperware. Their brand focuses on traditional, handcrafted products made by skilled artisans. Tambav wanted a logo that truly represented the essence of the brand and something that had an Indian touch to it.

I used Futura - a functional, clean, and standard font as the client did not have many typographic requirements since the brand used minimal text. The geometric characteristics of Futura complemented the geometric nature of the logo which is entirely made up of lines and circles.

COLOUR PALETTE
The colour palette was kept simple and sober, nothing very experimental as that's what the client desired. It had to be designed keeping in mind that it should complement the products that the company offered. These products mainly consisted of metalware. The lighter brown was taken as the main colour of the logo and the off white was chosen as the background colour. As for the dark brown and faded black, they were simply used as accent colours, holding minimal usage.
FONT
THE LOGO
The logo takes elements from the powerful Celtic infinity knot symbol, which represents eternity, and some design elements of the alchemical symbol of copper. I chose to use these because Tambav is a copper centric brand that aims to revive and increase the longevity of long lost traditions and practices of the precious handiwork of Indian artisans. The overall form was also inspired by the Indian Bandhani print to give it an eccentric touch. The packaging completely focuses on using the logo itself as a repetitive pattern. It uses a classic cream and gold colour palette, creating a graceful yet stylish look.
